The Research Platform

The Research Platform is the UltraVision Hardware equipped with a Control Panel that allows the researcher to set every programmable parameter for the acquisition of images. Much of the control panel takes the form of a property grid allowing only valid inputs for the hundreds of parameters that are programmable. Once a suitable protocol is achieved it may be stored and recalled for later use. Multiple Protocols may be executed in a composition to execute multiple modalities simultaneously.

The UltraVision has a port with eight inputs and eight outputs that can be used to synchronize ultrasound functions with other equipment.

The parameters for beamforming (transmit and receive), aperture, apodization, transmit waveforms, acoustic line advancement across the transducer. frequency filters, decimation filter, log / gamma amplitude compression table, and persistence can all be programmed.

Modes currently implemented and supplied as examples with the system include B-Mode, M-Mode, A-Mode, 64 simultaneous channel A-Modes, Pulse Inversion, Multiple transmit Foci, Optoacoustics and optionally Elastography.

The UltraVision interfaces to the most common transducers.
