Control Panel
The Research Platform is equipped with a Research Control Panel that allows the user to modify almost every parameter involved with the generation and collection of ultrasound imaging. The collection of imaging parameters can then be saved as a Protocol and recalled later for further optimization or use in the research study for consistency.
The control panel comprises multiple windows that may be selected for view or operation. A message log that documents every user generated event and is stored in a folder for the session in a directory for that user, protocol and date.
Transducers of almost any geometry can be accommodated. The transducer’s ID code and user selected parameters are then associated with a the saved protocol.
Images and movies can be saved in directory structures.
Generally the controls are very comprehensive and are thus are not as convenient as the Clinical Control Panel (CCP). The transmit controls are also not restricted in mechanical and thermal index limits and so must not be used in a clinical study. The Time-Gain Compensation control and the zoom and caliper functions are common to the CCP but can also display the numerical value of the underlying image.
